Charge Against Deandre Baker
Baker and Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar was accused of stealing cash and watches with semiautomatic pistols on May 14, 2020, at a party home in Miramar.
Additionally from the report (Arrest Warrant ) , Baker and Dunbar were hanging around, as usual, playing video games and cards. While doing so, they got into an argument, and Baker pulled out his pistol and showed it to the other guys around them.
Thus, Dunbar begins robbing other men at the same time. Before leaving the house, they both robbed many watches worth thousands of dollars and threatened to shoot them.
Aftermath, 3 people claim that they were robbed by Baker and filed a lawsuit against Baker, seeking over $100,000 damage. He was charged with 4- armed robber and 4 – aggravated assaults with a firearm and Dunbar was charged with nothing.
A video was released which was obtained in Sep, where police believed that he was paying off to robber witnesses to change their statements.
Miramar Police tweet saying that an arrest warrant has been issued for Baker.
Since the controversy started, he has not been on the team. And Giants make the statement via ESPN that they were not aware of the situation and cannot make any comment right now.

In November 2020, the state attorney release all the charges against the Baker and South Florida attorney William Dean charged with “Extortion”. William Dean was representing his client who has accused Baker of robberies.
Meanwhile, Police investigate William Dean, they found out that Mr. Dean wanted Baker to pay more than $260,000 in exchange for the victims would change their statement and will not cooperate with the police.
As a result, Dean was arrested and jailed as per court instructions. He was released after paying a $10,000 bond from jail after 40 hours and told WPLG Local 10 news that he was innocent and that all the charges against him were false.
