She makes her international modeling debut by walking on the stage of New York Fashion Week, Sep 2016. She also appears on the international stage after she leaves her country and signed a contract with New York-based company “ The Society Management “.

Apart from her modeling, he also pursues her career as an actress. In one of the interviews, she stated that during the vacation, she used to take classes on acting in her homeland Korea.
While searching for the best entertainment company, She joined Saram Entertainment which is located in South Korea, founded by Lee So-young in 2006. She only joined the acting agency after ending her contract with a modeling agency. Furthermore, She also improves her English language skills as a result of his taking acting classes.

However, the director, Hwang Dong-Hyuk, suggested meeting her face to face. So she returns to his home nation South Korea and gives her second audition in person.
Director Hwang Dong-Hyuk gives her the role of Sae-byeok right away. Jung study the Character and the script to practice the Sae-byeok role.
According to her interview, she did a lot of studies on Sae-Byeok’s character and watched a lot of films about North Korean defectors.
Moreover, she also had to learn and practice martial arts because it was her first action scene. Jung just wanted to be prepared before casting the Squid Game series.
